AllerGiene ATP Swab – for Allergen Control
AllerGiene™ is an advanced ATP swab test specifically designed to verify cleaning effectiveness in areas where allergen control is critical. With higher sensitivity than standard ATP swabs, it helps detect traces of residual proteins and organic matter that may indicate the presence of allergenic materials.
Key Features:
-
High-sensitivity ATP detection – ideal for allergen-sensitive environments
-
Quick results – obtain data in just 20 seconds using the novaLUM II-X luminometer
-
Verifies surface cleanliness after allergen-specific sanitation procedures
-
Recyclable components – supports your sustainability goals
Recommended for:
-
Allergen cleaning validation in food processing lines
-
Shared equipment between allergen and non-allergen products
-
Facilities managing “free-from” claims (e.g., gluten-free, nut-free)
-
Compliance with FSMA, HACCP, and GFSI standards
Don’t take risks with allergens—verify your cleaning process quickly and reliably with AllerGiene™.
Benefits of AllerGiene Swab Include:
-
Results in 20 Seconds → Faster Pre-Operational Inspections
-
Super ATP Sensitivity → Detects Multiple Allergens with a Single Pass/Fail Threshold
-
Recyclable Components → Supports Waste Reduction and Sustainability Goals
Simple Procedure with the novaLUM® II-X System
![]() |
Withdraw the swab by gently pulling and twisting the swab handle. |
![]() |
Swab an area 100 cm2 (16 in2). Rotate the handle to achieve full swab contact with surface. |
![]() |
Reinsert the swab and twist the handle down. Gently shake side to side 3 times. |
![]() |
Unscrew swab handle completely and shake AllerGiene 3 times while holding handle so that liquid is forced down into microtube. Twist handle down again. |
Swab Extender
More Charm customers are incorporating Swab Extenders to monitor hard-to-reach and inaccessible areas in their Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
Available in 3 and 16 foot (0.9 m and 4.9 m) lengths, users can simply lock the relevant Charm ATP swab into the extender and adjust the angle to reach their target.
AllerGiene™ Swab Sensitivity vs. Specific Allergen Tests

Description
AllerGiene ATP Swab – for Allergen Control
The Charm® AllerGiene® ATP Swab (AllerGiene swab) is a simple 20-second test with super sensitivity to allergenic food residues that achieves detection comparable to specific allergen methods. The AllerGiene swab can be implemented in HARPC programs, helping manufacturers prevent allergen cross-contamination by immediately verifying the cleaning and removal of food residues from shared processing lines.
